Wow, what a busy day! I was asked by Centro and ThinkBike to help out designing a mini MTB course for the big demo day out in Ballinastoe. After a very start, I was out with my hammer and nails running around the forest sign-posting the trail! The demo day was in Ireland for all the Irish/European reps to take a look at the 2010 bike range. People seemed especially pleased with the new TopFuel 9.8 and the mean but movable Remedy trail Bike. The DemoDay featured a very special guest all the way from TREK hedquarters in Wisconson. Rob was over here to check out the Irish Culture and learn how to pull pints in local pubs with Laura and Paul from Centro! I even managed to teach him a bit of Irish, which went down well.
All in all, everyone had a great time at the Demo Day. It's utterly evident that a lot of R&D time goes in to Trek bikes, and I can safely say, that, they are lightyears ahead of some other of the other manufactures.
After arriving home with only an hour to spare, I cleaned the muddy bike and got a quick bite to eat, then cycled out to the eerie HellFire club to meet the ThinkBike beginners for a nightride. 5 Hours cyling done today, i'm looking forward to rhe recovery day!
